If you are automatically downloading packages (.zip, .tgz, etc) using cURL or other tools, please change the URL from
http://mafft.cbrc.jp/...
to
https://mafft.cbrc.jp/...
to prevent problems with automatic HTTPS redirection in the future.
To maintain compatibility these packages are still available over HTTP right now, but these requests will also be redirected to HTTPS starting in January, 2018.
